New England
Boston, MA 02110
Although our work began several years prior, we made our presence in New England official with the opening of our Providence-based office in October 2018. Our work with organizations and funders spans the whole of the New England geography from Maine to Connecticut, ranging from cohort-based learning with foundations providing long-term support for their grantees, to one-on-one technical assistance with nonprofits both large and small.
If you’d like to discuss how we might partner with your organization, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We would love to learn about your organization and what you’re doing to make New England a better place!

TESTIMONIALS
It was one of the best presentations I’ve seen on financial management for nonprofit professionals – and I’ve spent years advocating for better financial education…
I am happy to announce I’ve completed the CNAP certification course and exam and have earned my CNAP certificate. The course was rigorous and well worth the investment.
Thank you VERY much for the BDO FMA seminar in Denver this week… It was so informative, eye opening and fantastic! We cannot thank you enough!
I just want to send a big Thank You to you for selecting us for the technical assistance project (Financial Infrastructure Review). The final report is incredibly helpful to us as we continue to create more efficient systems and processes moving forward. Melissa and Sarah were absolutely terrific throughout the entire process. I don’t know where else I could have received this kind of assistance. I hope this program continues for many years to come so that others can experience this great opportunity.
FMA provides the best trainings for practitioners that I have experienced, and I hope DCYF continues to provide opportunities to work with them for grantees.
FMA is fantastic + such a huge asset to DCYF grantees. I strongly recommend continuing to work w/ them around finance and budgeting training/technical assistance.
FMA has been an invaluable thought partner in helping us think through not only the process of our financial due diligence, but the usefulness, both to our foundation and to our grantee partners, of reviewing financial data in a way that matches our values and helps achieve our common goals.
Our grantees continue to express gratitude for support the BDO FMA team provides and our staff have benefitted from the advice and analysis provided on our portfolio of grantees.
The training session for our team was excellent. It hit the right note in terms of staff skill level and the content was exactly what we needed.
I attended a session at the PEAK conference led by Surdna and BDO FMA on financial due diligence. I was really impressed with the approach and the simplified process that they outlined – very much appreciated the session and the work of BDO FMA, and advocating for financial due diligence to support planning for the grant rather than just reducing Foundation risk.
